When we started recording, we only planned on making a simple demo with only four songs -- because that's all she'd ever written. But great new songs started pouring out of her as the project went along, and we eventually ended up with this fantastic full-length debut. Nikki's musical vocabulary expanded so quickly, and it was fun to watch the record grow at the same rate. (We actually re-recorded some vocals near the end of the project as Nikki's singing got better and better.)
Honorable mention goes out to Mr. Steve Hatfield for some incredible "outside the box" percussion. Also to Terry Quiett who slipped in some vocal and guitar stuff early on that fits in so well, it seems like it was always there.
And, of course, to our gal Nikki who stepped up to the plate and delivered amazing songs and great performances.
